Ffxiv no sound.
A complete config for FFXIV with a clean informational hud layout. All jobs have their spells already assigned to hotbars. Many jobs share the same spells or the same concept of a spell so I've tried to keep as many spells/concepts on the same keybinds as possible between jobs.
In Windows 10: Sound Settings > Sound > Advanced Sound Options "App volume and device preferences" > Find "Final Fantasy XIV" in the list and change the "Output" device (top entry) to anything other than what it is currently set to, then BACK to what it is intended to be to.Everything is fine when I first boot up the game, but then at some random point the sound effects will just cut out, and suddenly all I can hear is BG music and UI sounds like the clicking it makes when you use an ability. Audio no longer plays at all. As of 12/12/2020, after an update on my Windows computer, my audio on FFXIV no longer plays. It is just FFXIV with this issue. I am on PC and I have tried numerous ways to get the audio back, from: -Changing my Borderless Windowed game to Windowed>Closing the game>Opening game>Going to Fullscreen mode.

Sound Alert for Duty Finder. Please add a sound alert when the duty finder finds a group for you. Control Panel -> Sound -> Find your device from the Playback tab -> Right click, select Configure Speakers -> Select the correct speaker configuration, test and finish the setup wizard. These sound issues are really problematic. I had the severe stuttering issue with my sound. Switching from DX11 -> DX9 (as recommended in the SE thread) did solve the issue for me.
