The flashing smiley indicates oestrogen, but you have to remember it isn’t looking for a specific amount, it is looking for an increase in the level. (so it could be going from very low to slightly less low). I started the flashing smiley Saturday morning and it was still flashing this morning. But I tested again at about 1 and got a solid smiley. My flashing line was pretty light like yours but the solid was a lot darker. Flashing is detecting estrogen, not lh. Estrogen increases days, up to a week prior to lh.
