But considering the fact, that its very hard to tame, especially in SP, and a wild one still has much better stats and a bleeding effect, i think its not really worth it. For me its actually useless.

While torpor is increasing, all torpor loss is halted entirely. I knocked out a giga while waiting 3-4 seconds between shots just fine. If torpor from tranqs lasts 5 seconds, then you are fine till that 5th second. I also explained in the post linked below how to actually keep it down the easy way.
