I have been on google fi with my Samsung Z Fold 3 for a few months. Just got the June update for my unlocked version fold3, which enables the Esim card function. Give it a try to switch from a physical sim card to Esim. Works fine now. Does anyone try esim on any Samsung phone? or this is official now.

After uninstall the app and remove the physical SIM, I had to reset all network then delete the Google Fi from Celullar Data (If you can't see the delete button, insert your physical SIM, delete Google fi, then remove the sim again) Go to Celullar Data, add new plan and scan the QR code from the Google fi app in your old phone.
