It seems I'm having this issue every time I strip the gun. It seems like the recoil spring pops out of the spot it sits on the barrel when I push the slide back to put the takedown pin back in. Because I lock the slide back, then release the slide and move it forward to remove the slide again, and it's already stuck.

Ruger is always slow to get aftermarket love unless it’s the PC Carbine or 10/22. If anyone offered a threaded barrel for the Security 9, it would probably run close to $200. Add in at least another $100 for new sights too. Now you can see why the aftermarket isn't embracing this idea.
