ring anoints are a joke, and really aren't even worth the time or oils put into them. I use empowering tower range and empowering tower effect and I can at least confirm the range one is working. my empowering tower range is definetly working since the AoE of them is now huge so maybe it depends on the annointment itself. All the ring amounts are worded "your towers", so presumably ones you build initially (not upgrade). I think you are right. The player doesn't build the towers, Cassia does. My guild and I have noticed that she follows the map owner around. The rest of the party can assign towers, but the map owner has to bring Cassia over to build them.
