The MOS Glock 17 is being phased out for the 47. The standard Glock 17 gen 5 is remaining in production and it is unlikely Glock will ever get rid of it. It would be like Ford getting rid of the F-150 because the Ranger exists. The 17 is simply too iconic and well known for Glock to kill it off. I could, however, see them phasing out the 45.
