The Vivity IOL is new, as it just received FDA approval for use in the United States in February 2020. “Very satisfied” was reported by significantly more Panoptix than Vivity patients (p < 0.05, Chi squared test). Patients were “very likely” or “somewhat likely” to refer friends and family for the same procedure in 98% of the Vivity cohort, 99% of the PanOptix cohort, 96% of the 2.5 mini-monovision cohort, and 88% of the 2.5/3.0 cohort.
Vivity would also be a very poor choice due to significant contrast sensitivity loss. Eyhance could be a problem too as it like the Vivity extends the depth of focus, and as such it has to compromise contrast sensitivity to some degree. Perhaps not as much as the Vivity, but there will still be a reduction. It is the physics of light..
