The engine runs fine when I pour gas down the carburetor. However, when I feed gas through the fuel line, it leaks out the bottom of the fuel pump, which is connected directly on the carburetor.

Jun 12, 2011. #1. I have a Marquis 5000 that needs a fuel pump. The Onan replacement (149-2267) is about $250. I noticed the original one is made by Carter. My thoughts were to simply replace it with a Carter. The Carter (GP 4070) is 6 psi so I would also use a adjustable regulator and set it at 3psi. I could do this for less then half the price.
