The degradation message is also likely to remain each time the vehicle is powered on until they release an OTA update that improves it fleet wide. I interpret it as “this feature is still in beta”.

I have a 2023 Y delivered in November of 2022 and I definitely have the ultrasonic sensors in my bumpers, and I get the proximity beeps and indicators.
