I think Call of Chernobyl had Stalkers dying to Anomalies being turned on by default back then, because I remember just having swaths of loners, bandits, mercs, and the like also falling prey to those traps pretty often during my playthrough all those years ago . It was pretty immersive and fun, but I like Anomaly's change of it being off by default.
