1633 posts · Joined 2007. #2 · Sep 2, 2011. In its day, the 750 was the best thing out there, but that day was over 15+ years ago. They are pretty old and tired by now. The newer version was the 1560, and then the 1590. If your budget will allow it, get at least a 1560. I had a 1560, and then sold it and bought a pair of 1560's with a Houk hitch.

Keep the same amount of seed in the drill. It will not drop at the same rate when the box is full vs. nearly empty. Speed, ground roughness, soil type (wheel slip ), seed treatment, humidity, seed size, shape, all alter population. If you run a scale you will pick up on the variations. A 750 will raise good beans.
