That should bring up a screen showing your madden rank or something like that. Look for the menu at the top and press r1 to tab over to character. Then just click on the only option there which should be your coach or player.I had a good franchise going. Lost a rb to injury and signed a FA Austin Ekeler, he runs 1 play and goes out. Now my whole offense does this sh!t. Never an issue til these last 3 weeks and after I signed Ekeler. I half pads and split every practice so progressive stamina isn't an issue. The glitch I think is that either someone at RT or just Evan Neal is auto-set down on the depth chart, even though he is NOT injured. He is on the top of the depth chart on the official NYG roster, so IDK.

The first time happened after a week 16 game after clicking finish game and booted me back to my Xbox screen. Lost my auto save, manual save, and backup file saved at week 10. They supposedly fixed a bug that stopped booting players back to the consoles home screen in a patch update. Decided to give it another go.

Usually in week 4, you're only supposed to cut 10 players. So I cut some dead weight (so that the activity now says "cut 10 players") and the training loaded.
