I've used pellets for years and I'm a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kinda guy. Hornady 300grain XTP's in .452 absolutely knock deer down! No blood trailing required. The 240 grain work well but not like the 300's. This what all of my little circles shoot and they are all CVA's. Accura's, Optima's and a Wolf. Well, I ordered and received both a CVA Optima V2 (camo stock & forearm, nitride barrel, scope rail), AND a CVA Wolf (camo stock & forearm, nitride barrel, fiber optic sights). I've never even shot a muzzle loader, and now I own two. I've got a LOT of work ahead of me before the 2020 deer season opens. But I also have a lot of time.
