Failed nclex at 85 questions.
Shut off at 85 after a question I definitely got wrong. I was really unsure about a lot of them, but it didn’t feel like it was because they were hard, it felt like it was because I was dumb and confused lol. I got straight As and got a very high chance passing on UWorld assessments and felt like the questions were all over the place.

A fellow nurse told me that if I tried to re register and it doesn't let me, that means I passed? So upon leaving the testing center, I tried. NCLEX stopped at 85. 1,403 Posts. Mar 6, 2017. Yesterday I took the NCLEX. I started at 2pm and finished at 430pm. The test shut off at 95 questions and it ended with a SATA question that I know I got right. I felt all the color leave my face and I wanted to vomit right there in the middle of the testing center when that computer shut off!Since the minimum number of questions you'll take on the NCLEX is 75, and the maximum is 145, this could happen at any point between those 2 numbers. Theoretically, the computer could know from your first 75 questions that you failed and stop giving you more, or it could know that you passed.

What does it mean when NCLEX stops at 85? If your NCLEX stopped exactly at 85 questions, it either means that you passed it with flying colors or you failed horribly. The computer came to a pass/fail decision relatively quickly if it stopped at 85.29-Sept-2006.
