When I go into Edit Show and Manage Championships and MitB, I have 2 open slots, but when I go to assign a championship to one of the slots, I don't see a way to select the briefcase. EDIT: Adding for posterity - I removed MitB from Smackdown. Once I did so, the option to assign MitB appeared in slots 6 and 7 of my custom show.
