As someone mentioned above (maybe you) that it's odd that the full size HK45 seemed to be designed off the P30, while the HK45C seemed to have been designed by their P2000 engineers. I prefer the P30 ergonomics, and strongly wish they'd made the HK45C to mimic the size and shape of the P30.A high dollar 1911 will shoot better, and maybe for you, perform the same as the HK45c in hostile environments. Both pistols have their benifits. And despite realizing that the HK45 is the gun that fits me the best of all so far, I will still own a few 1911's. Les Baer's and a few older colts.Place the holster on a piece and trace the guard area that pokes you, allowing for a bit extra to cover over top of the edge maybe 1/4". For the part touching your skin, it only needs to cover about 3/4" from the edge down. Remove the sticky back and apply to the holster. It should help the bite and make it more comfortable.

This provides a slight accuracy advantage over a standard barrel. The pistol weighs just over 31 ounces with an empty magazine. HK lists the thickness at 1.26 inches, and I'll be honest, it feels thicker. The whole pistol feels like a brick in the hand, but that adds to the durability. There's always a tradeoff.

Not a 45c owner but I’ve put a couple hundred rounds through the one in the rental case. It’s an excellent firearm but I prefer the full size. It just suits me better. $600 seems high for a used one since dealer cost on a new one is $600 unless it’s a tactical. The subject of this review was obtained as a result of a certain curiosity concerning the SAR pistol's performance and quality. I have wished to find a useful modern high capacity .45 for some time. I have an original Para Ordnance .45 I appreciate very much but there aren't many compact high capacity .45s.
