The .38 Special Security Sixes are rare, but there are not as many Ruger DA collectors so I don't think they will ever bring a huge premium. But, if you find a collector who needs one you might get $6-700 for it. Most buyers of the Security Sixes are shooters, and go for the .357 models.The “only” issue that “may” present itself when using 38 Specials in the .357 Mag cylinder is the potential “carbon ring” formed at the mouth area of the shorter case in the longer .357 Mag cylinder! No danger.....merely “may” need a little more attention paid to the area in the cylinder during cleaning.
