Now it idles but nothing more happens when I accelerate. Have cleaned the carburettor several times, nothing wrong with it, also adjusted valves, checked p-brake switch ok.

I have adjusted the carb about a million times and it still won't run right. It floods out easily and won't idle for more than a minute without the choke. Any suggestions would really help. The air diaphragm is often really tough to not twist (even a little will effect it) when putting the cover back on. This is important as the valve will open quicker if it is twisted. 2. The spring does wear out. Worn spring will result in lean burn above 1/4 throttle as the slide opens quicker and allows more air.After replacing it I hooked a test light to the ground and tested the hot wire (blue wire),which had a light which proved power was getting to it.
