Nov 20, 2023 · For the past few weeks, I have noticed that the closed captions for ABC network shows are about 15 seconds to a minute behind the actual show. This makes them unusable. I see this, when looking at shows that were recorded for XFINITY stream. I also have seen at least one on-demand show for ABC that was similarly out of sync. To turn on closed captions, click an option under the "Subtitles" section. To turn on audio descriptions, click an option under the "Audio" category. To turn either feature off, just click the option again. Android phone or tablet. While the video is playing, click the "CC" icon in the top right corner of the video player.

Solution. #2. Power off the comcast box, leaving the tv on. Press "Menu" on the Comcast remote. When the service menu comes up, nudge the CC option to CC1. Hit "menu" until the screen goes black, then power on the box. I guess they couldn't be bothered to make a key for that.
