One of my most favourite books is The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge. I have actually used a couple of case studies from the book for my essays and I’ve interviewed one of the doctors from it for my project, so it was definitely useful. It’s about neuroscience but it’s quite simple and easy to read. 4.
Go read the book that inspired so many different adaptations no one who hasn't read is is quite sure what's in the original. It's a fairly quick read, and is by no means just for children. A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. Bill Bryson's works are fantastic. He makes rather cumbersome history more accessible just by relating things to everyday life. This is a brilliant book - it points out how complex and amazing science is, and yet how much we don't really know.

Dune by Frank Herbert is probably my favorite sci-fi book. Red Rising by Pierce Brown is my favorite sci-fi series. The Red Rising series is great. So many unexpected events. A bit like GOT in that way. I feel like it would make an incredible TV show. It would also need an absurdly high budget though.

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I had a very unique experience while reading this book. It is not only a novel, but a way of life!! The writing is so beautiful! It is so poetic or leaves an agreeable mark on the soul! I love many many books from fantasy to sci-fi to non- fiction.
