Subaru forester window reset.

I've followed the reset procedures but the passenger side front window does not work. from the driver side it does not work the passenger side at all, from the passenger side it goes down but only goes up 2-3" at a time. I tried 4 different versions of the reset and they dont solve the problem.

You might have to reset the power window "auto up". The procedure is documented in the owners manual. Disconnecting the battery shouldn't short anything. Preventing shorts is the main reason to do it in the first place.Subaru decided to make it nice and easy to relearn the auto windows. Push down until the window is fully down and hold it for a few seconds. Then up until fully closed and hold it a few more seconds. Our 2020Outbacks passenger window got stuck in the down position today, we took it to our dealership and the tech relayed that Subaru had issues with the window guides being installed at the wrong angle. It requires new parts to fix the problem, and we are on the list to be repaired sometime in January.

Pull the driver's window switch up and continue holding it up for a few seconds after it's fully closed. Repeat for the passenger window from the passenger's seat. Done!

It's all good now. I had to reinitialize the window. Jump in the car, Shut the door turn the ignition to on, Put the window half way down then put it back up but keep holding the switch up for 3 or more seconds while the window is up when it's all the way up and then hold the switch till the window all the way down and she's fixed. Dec 10, 2017 · Could be the battery was disconnected at some point and they didn't reset the auto up-down switch on the passenger side. Using the passenger side switch to reset it, just put it half way up and stop, then pull all the way up and hold the switch until it stops. Then push it all the way down and hold until it stops.
